JMJ Started off the season with the annual visit to the Gull Lake DN Swapmeet.

While Mike was unable to make it, Denny Meagher and Mr Fradkin made the trip to add plenty of color and commentary to the event.

Halloway Reservoir

No wind today.  Forecast called for 8 gusting to 8 @ 360 and that's what we saw.  Ice conditions were very bad.

We made the call early this morning anticipating the end of the season is near.  Good to get out.

2011 Central Regionals

This week was the first time all three members of JMJ Racing came together to represent for the 2011 Central Regionals.  Conditions Thursday were good enough to get off five or six races in light winds in rough ice with light snow cover.  Conditions were not ideal, but the event seemed to get great turnout and was well supported by a capable Race Committee.  Great opportunity for us to meet other racers, and new friends were made.  All three of us made it back in time to attend the TIYC weekly meeting, and applications have been submitted for membership.

Mike's boat - Nancy's Nightmare seemed to be pretty well put together for it's inaugural run, but the J2 seems to have some major bugs to be worked out, lots of ideas to pursue.  It was a disappointing first outing for the boat, but as they say, it's a great learning opportunity.

We hope to meet with Ron Sherry of C2 in the coming week or so and start to dial in the boats.  Our focus moving forward is to compete in formal regattas and to be competitive.

Not sure if John is gunning for second place here or saying 'now we have two boats'..

JMJ brings home the hardware with a respectable tenth place finish for J1, just don't ask how many boats competed in the Silver Class.

Can't wait to get out there and do it again, we hope to make the 2012 Central Regionals, which may take place as soon as the weekend of Jan 14.

Operation Boat Trailer

John and I have been busy preparing The JMJ Racing Trailer this fall to give us a greater range of places to sail.  Trailer will also serve as a means of storage for the other 350 days of the year when we are not racing.

The design we ended on should accommodate the J1, J2, M1 and all associated gear.

Also working on logo designs for Team race gear!

Welcome Mr Beresni

It's been a busy weekend for J&J Racing in preparation for the 2012 season.

Mr. Beresni will be joining the program with the recent acquisition of the the M1.

Also this weekend, a third boat will be entering the teams racing fleet, known as the J2.

J&J Racing will be known from this point forward by their new name, JMJ Racing.  The team will be busy the remainder of the fall preparing their equipment and sorting out the new racing trailer.
